OVERVIEW

Shutdown Scheduler is a professional Windows application that
allows you to schedule computer shutdowns using three methods:
1. TIME-BASED: Set a timer (in minutes) for automatic shutdown
2. APP-BASED: Monitor an application and shutdown when it closes
3. MUSIC-BASED: Play a music file and shutdown when it ends

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- RAM: 512 MB minimum
- Disk Space: 50 MB
- Permissions: Administrator rights for shutdown operations

INSTALLATION
============================================================
1. Double-click "Shutdown Scheduler-1.0.0-win64.msi"
2. Follow the installation wizard
3. The application will be installed to:
C:\Program Files\Dreamlore LLC\Shutdown Scheduler\
4. A desktop shortcut will be created automatically

HOW TO USE
============================================================
TIME-BASED SHUTDOWN:
-------------------
1. Enter the number of minutes until shutdown
2. Click "▶ Start Timer"
3. A countdown will appear showing time remaining
4. Click "✖ Cancel" to abort the shutdown
APP-BASED SHUTDOWN:
------------------
1. Open the application you want to monitor (e.g., Chrome, VLC)
2. Find the process name in Task Manager > Details tab
3. Enter the exact process name (e.g., "chrome.exe")
4. Set delay in seconds (default: 30)
5. Click "👁 Start Monitoring"
6. When you close the app, shutdown will be triggered
7. Click "⏹ Stop Monitoring" to cancel
MUSIC-BASED SHUTDOWN:

1. Click "📁 Browse Music"
2. Select an audio file (MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A)
3. Click "▶ Play & Shutdown"
4. Music will play and computer will shutdown when finished
5. A countdown shows time remaining
6. Click "⏹ Stop Music" to cancel

FINDING APP PROCESS NAMES
============================================================
To find the correct process name for app monitoring:
1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
2. Click the "Details" tab
3. Find your application in the list
4. Look at the "Name" column - this is what you need
5. Examples:
- Notepad = notepad.exe
- Chrome = chrome.exe
- VLC Media Player = vlc.exe
- Spotify = Spotify.exe
- Microsoft Word = WINWORD.EXE

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem: Shutdown doesn't work
Solution: Make sure you have administrator privileges
Problem: App monitoring doesn't detect app closure
Solution: Verify you entered the exact process name with .exe
Problem: Music doesn't play
Solution: Make sure the audio file isn't corrupted and is
in a supported format
Problem: Icon doesn't show
Solution: Icon files must be in the installation directory
Problem: Countdown timer not visible
Solution: Restart the application
Problem: Application won't start
Solution: Ensure Windows 10/11 with latest updates installed

GROUP POLICY DEPLOYMENT:
1. Copy MSI to network share
2. Create new GPO
3. Computer Configuration > Software Installation
4. Right-click > New > Package
5. Select the MSI file
6. Choose "Assigned"

✓ Always test with long timers first (60+ minutes)
✓ Test the Cancel button before using short timers
✓ Save your work before scheduling shutdowns

UNINSTALLATION
